What do you think about this sets? Will you buy them for 35$ or 40€? Here it is some extra info about them.

LEGO Minecraft provides the opportunity to build, reconfigure and create new Minecraft micro-worlds in a physical LEGO way. The two new 3”x3”x3” models, The Village and The Nether, are on display for the first time at Comic-Con International in San Diego. Fans can also enjoy and take pictures with a large interactive 3D mosaic complete with Micromob character props at the LEGO booth (#2829).

“LEGO Minecraft is a perfect example of how people’s passions can be amplified when digital and physical interests are combined, and there couldn’t be more synergy between the engine that drives the Minecraft gaming experience and the creative fuel of a LEGO building experience,” said Michelle Wilson, senior brand manager for LEGO Systems, Inc. “We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with Mojang to create new Minecraft characters and environments in LEGO form so that fans can get as creative as they’d like in their physical world as in their digital one.”

“There’s no doubt about the connection between LEGO building and Minecraft – not only the design similarities, but the immense creativity that our fan bases share,” said Lydia Winters, Mojang’s director of fun. “Given how well received the first model was last year, we can’t wait to see what fans think of these new designs.”

LEGO Minecraft New Product Highlights

The Village
With this model, fans can create and customize their own Minecraft village with LEGO bricks. Just like the game, fans can build houses, grow crops and beware the mines in their own micro-world as well as play out their own storylines with Pig, Villager and Zombie constructible Micromob figures.

The Nether
Builders can create the Minecraft Obsidian Portal and The Nether to explore the newest biome with this micro-scale LEGO model, complete with Netherrack, gravel, flowing lava and bedrock. This model includes two Ghasts and one Zombie Pigman constructible Micromob figures.

The new LEGO Minecraft micro-scale models can be split into four sections and reconfigured for different play experiences. They will be available beginning September 1, 2013 with a suggested retail price of $34.99.20130718-002030.jpg

New Lego Cuusoo Set!

We knew that the next Lego Cuusoo set would be the DeLorean from “Back to the Future” films. But what we didn´t know was the look of the set. In  this case, it is quite different from the original one.

What do you think about it? Here it is a comparison with the original moc by Mashashi:

It looks like the Delorean Cuusoo set will come without minifigures…

Will you buy it?

Lego Cuusoo Project aproved!

Lego Tree Making Styles

I was preparing some WWII vehicles and I suddenly found this article at ALegoADay, so I thought it would be interesting to add trees to my layout.

The result

You can make trees as easy as that. The building of this tree is explained in the previous link. But there are many other types of trees, much more than I would have ever thought!

Isn´t it beautiful? I love the Autumn look that the first tree has.

The Brick Blogger blog also offers us a wide variety of trees. You can check it here.

Then, I also found yesterday an article by our friends of HispaBrick Magazine explaining how the famous Lego WW2 fan Legotron builds his own trees.

You can check Legotron´s guide here.

Finally paultox, who is a youtuber, also made a “Trees Guide” using that video platform. It is also a Lego Cuusoo Project. His trees are impressive…

I hope I have helped you!

New Zealand Birds

I have found this article at The Brother Bricks and thought it was interesting to share it with you.

Kaimi the Kiwi

Karo the Kakapo

New Zealand birds are quite strange. The Kiwi and the Karo are good examples. Despite that, its Lego design is just amazing!

Sidney the Scarlet Chested Parakeet

He also give us info about his precious birds!

The Scarlet-chested Parrot (Neophema splendida), known alternately as Scarlet-breasted parrot, Orange-throated parrot or Splendid parrot, is a parrot endemic to central South Australia and inland southern Western Australia. The species is sexually dimorphic; the male has a bright blue face and scarlet chest and yellow underparts, amid overall green plumage, while the female is similar but lacks the red chest. These nomadic parakeets move readily from the Great Victoria Desert region into neighbouring areas. These interruptions are triggered by a search for more favourable conditions. They can survive quite well without access to drinking water, however, as succulent plants help meet much of their fluid requirement. They feed mainly on grass seeds and are most commonly sighted in spinifex.

Measuring 19–21 cm (8 in) in length, this small vibrant and brightly coloured parrot is sexually dimorphic. The male has a scarlet chest, a cobalt blue face, and bright green upperparts. The lower breast and underparts are yellow, and the wing coverts are pale blue. The tail is green, the eyes are brown and the bill is blackish, and legs are brown-grey. The female likewise has a blue face, although the coloration is less extensive, green upperparts and green breast, with yellow underparts. Immature birds are duller versions of their respective adult forms. Males begin to get red plumage on their chest from around two or three months of age, though do not complete their red chest until fifteen to eighteen months old.

The female resembles the female Turquoise Parrot (N. pulchella) of eastern Australia, but can be distinguished by the blue lores and paler blue wing patch.

The call is a soft twittering, quieter than other members of the genus Neophema”

Finally, he wants us to support hiw Lego Cuusoo Project, which I have already done it. Please help him! You can do it here.

Pit Lane Marshal’s post

Lluisgib, a Lego Cuusoo member and writter of the HispaBrick Magazine has a new, interesting project on Cuusoo… This time he has made the Pit Lane and Marshal´s post of the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Idea Image

The pics made by hima are amazing, and so is the moc.

Idea Image

It looks like a very complete playset, with the Formula 1 car, lots of minifigs and the Marshal post. Very complete.

You can vote for it and see more photos here.

Oh! And two interesting facts. The building of the base is quite similar to the MILS system promoted by Hispabrick (more info here). And Luis has been working in that circuit. Congrats Luis!

Portal Saga: Atlas and P-Body

Coninuing with the famous videogame saga i present you a moc by eldeeem, who is a FlickR user.

Atlas & P-Body

Even they are quite a lot bigger than the Lego Cuusoo project I presented you yesterday (Click here for more info), they look great. The size allowed the author to make a huge quantity of detail.

Atlas & P-Body

Those details can be seen in the legs, face expression, detailwed back… There are many of them.

I hope you liked it! Portal is gaining popularity among Lego AFOLs.

Portal 2, a reality in Lego?

Brickthing, a Lego Cuusoo member, has recently achieved 10.000 supporters with his Portal 2 Lego project.

Will it become a reality? Will Lego accept it as a line of production?
I must admit that the sets made by brickthing are very original, representing perfectly the videogame.
