LegoGBC presents us his latest GBC module, a Pneumatic Tower which was inspirated by Akiyuki, but with a 90 degrees angle.
“It uses a single switch and 2 cylinders. Because the air will always go to the cylinder which job is easier, the movment sequence works perfectly with one switch. 2 PF M motors are used to compress and change the switch’s position, (2 because one PF M was too slow and I don’t have an XL motor)
It was very hard to build the body of the crane as the cylinders try to “escape” from turning the gears.”
Here it is! The new Lego Modular Building for 2014 has arrived! Photos and videos are now on the net.
It is composed of 2 floors and 2400 Lego pieces. That ilustrates the quantity of details the set has. Many Lego Pieces for such a small place.
The Lego Modular building for 2014, the Parisian House, includes a detailed interior as well:
It looks great!
This last one is my favourite:
The extendable bed has really impressed me… It is a fantastic detail. :).
Designer Jimmy has also posted a video on youtube showing the details. Here it is ;).
I hope you liked it!

It’s very busy in the Parisian Restaurant. As a scooter zips by, inside the waiter rushes between the tables as the nervous young man gets ready to propose with the ring! It’s just as hectic behind the scenes, with the chef busily preparing the food. This beautifully detailed building is the setting for so many stories and is a great addition to the modular building series. The Parisian Restaurant has a fully-stocked, blue and white tiled kitchen with tableware as well as a cozy apartment with pull-down bed, kitchenette and fireplace. On the top floor is the artist’s room with a studio that includes a cast iron heater, easel, paintbrush and two works of art by the aspiring artist. This amazing Lego US Truck made by Ingmar Spijkhoven has a very imponente front. It looks just amazing, and fears a bit. The colour palethe is incredible: he mixes blie, red with white, yes, but I find the mix of blues (Light and dark) clever.
He has made instructions and a part list for it which you can find here and here. The only disadvantage I found is the prize of the isntructions… Anyway, this is the video:
Checking the Lego Technic forum at Eurobricks I found an interesting discussion about the Lego bushes; this pieces.
Apparently there are two types, one older than the other. But in the discussion they were talking about the orientation of the bushes.
As you have seen in the pics above the top and bottom part are different. Some Lego purist tend to put the bottom (as seen in the first photo) looking outside.
Have you ever heard of this? Do you do it?
I have noticed (It is quite obvious) the difference in the piece, but never thought of changing the side…
Ischumi, member of HispaLUG has made this last interesting photo. His Lego Ironman really loves sweets… 😀
Buuut, he is not the only one with clever ideas! I have also found the next pic on a forum. This time, it comes from Eurobricks. Do you know Lego Legends of Chima? Look…
Bayou has made a unique MOC that depicts Yoda and Luke Skywalker on the planet of Dagobah.
This moc by the eurobricks member started as a project to make something with the Lego X-Wing. He focused as well on finding a way to make water look realistic with lights.
I am quite agree with that. He has achieved a reliable effect with the lights and the transparent pieces that I must mention.
I am not a huge fan of the Star Wars films, neither the Lego Star Wars set, but I must admitt this is one of the bests mocs of the year… (Star Wars mocs, of course. A GBC is always better :P)
Several details were included. It´s amazing what can we do with Lego pieces.
