Smaller Lego boxes on 2013

In order to continue with the environmentalist-friendly policy, Lego is now producing better and smaller boxes.

The right box is the new type, while the left box is the big one. They are both new Lego Technic sets.

This will become a “reduction of 10% of cardboard used”, as lego says.

This has had a possitive impact on the AFOL comunity, which had been asking for smaller boxes for years.

This would be a good example of it, with the box partly non-used

The benefits that lego asseverate are: “Consumers will find it easier to handle the packaging, retailers will have space for more boxes on their shelves, and we’ll use less energy in transporting the goods to the shops. So it’s a win‑win situation for everybody,”

Wich are good.

I hope this policy continue on following years. The only thing i can say is well done Lego. That is a great improvement. 🙂
